چکیده
The current study aimed to determine fermentation quality, aerobic stability, and enzyme soluble organic matter (ELOS) of wheat straw silage by replacing homofermentative (HM) homofermentative+heterofermentative (HM+HT) lactic acid bacteria (LAB) inoculants with kefir as additives. For this purpose, commercially available Biotal Plus II (HMLAB), Buchneri 500 (HM+HTLAB), MYStarter KF (KF) were used Four kg straw, about 400 g/kg, 6.0 log cfu or in each treatment group replicate. Including the control (CON), a total 12 laboratory-type silos (3 replicates 4 groups) opened after 45 days. dry (DM), crude ash (CA), detergent lignin (ADL), water-soluble carbohydrate contents silages not affected addition HMLAB, HM+HTLAB, (P>0.05). had lowest pH value (4.32), NH3-N content (71.97 g/kg TN), higher (43.11 DM). protein (CP) ratio was decreased HMLAB (5.95%) HM+HTLAB (5.63%) groups increased (4.54%, P<0.001). An improvement (by lowering 17.02%) NDF only observed (P<0.001). ELOS ME carbon dioxide (3.42 DM) yeast (5.50 log10 cfu/g) CON group, respectively. According research findings, could be an alternative additive improve silage’s nutritional quality instead them.

Improvement of Fermentation Quality of Rice Straw Silage by Application of a Bacterial Inoculant and Glucose
The improvement of the fermentation quality of rice straw silage by application of lactic acid bacteria (LAB) and glucose was investigated in this study. Sixteen rice varieties were harvested at the maturity stage and the rice straw was ensiled with LAB inoculant (1×10 cfu/g of fresh weight) and glucose (2% of fresh weight). Inoculation with LAB improved the fermentation as reflected in reducti...
متن کاملFermentation Quality and Additives: A Case of Rice Straw Silage
Rice cultivation generates large amount of crop residues of which only 20% are utilized for industrial and domestic purposes. In most developing countries especially southeast Asia, rice straw is used as part of feeding ingredients for the ruminants. However, due to its low protein content and high level of lignin and silica, there is limitation to its digestibility and nutritional value. To ut...
متن کاملEffects of Replacing Alfalfa Hay and Wheat Straw by Pistachio by-Product Silage and Date Waste on the Performance and Blood Parameters of Fattening Lambs
In this trial effects of feeding pistachio by-product silage with date waste (PBSD) on dry matter intake (DMI), live weight gain and blood parameters of lambs were studied. Ensiling of pistachio by-products (PBP) with date waste increased dry matter (DM) and metabolizable energy (ME), but decreased the percentages of crude protein (CP), total tannins and phenolic compounds (P
